Hajj 2027 from the USA: How Nusuk Registration Works

📅 Nov 04, 2026 📖 3 min read

US pilgrims book Hajj through the official Nusuk platform, not a US agency. The steps to register, how to stay safe, and where Amana Travel can help.

The short version: pilgrims from the United States book Hajj through Saudi Arabia's official Nusuk Hajj platform at hajj.nusuk.sa. A US travel agency cannot sell you a Hajj package. If anyone offers you a "guaranteed" Hajj package or visa outside of Nusuk, treat it as a serious warning sign.

Where things stand now

Hajj 2027 (1448) is expected in mid-May 2027, subject to the moon sighting. As of early November 2026, we have not seen an official opening date for 1448 account registration or package booking, and the Nusuk Hajj site still refers to the 1447 season for its steps. Nusuk offers a "register your interest" option, which is not a booking and does not guarantee acceptance. Check hajj.nusuk.sa directly for the latest, and be careful with any date you see elsewhere.

How the process works on Nusuk

Going by the steps Nusuk published for the last season, the process looks like this. It may change for 1448.

  1. Create your account on the Nusuk Hajj platform.
  2. Upload your documents.
  3. Complete your application.
  4. Wait for verification.
  5. Choose a category.
  6. Top up your Nusuk e-wallet.
  7. Browse the licensed service providers.
  8. Select a package.
  9. Book it.
  10. Review your itinerary.

How to prepare now

  • Check your passport. Make sure it won't expire around the time of Hajj. Renew now if you are close.
  • Prepare a photo and your documents. Have clear digital copies ready for each person traveling.
  • Talk to your doctor. Hajj is physically demanding. Know your health needs and vaccine requirements.
  • Plan your budget. Packages can sell out once booking opens, so be ready to act when it does.
  • Learn Hajj. Start classes with a scholar you trust, well before you travel.

Staying safe from Hajj scams

Every year pilgrims lose money to fake offers. New York City's consumer protection agency warns that Nusuk never asks for trip payments by email or social media, and lists claims that Nusuk can be bypassed as a red flag. Keep these rules in mind:

  • Only pay through the official platform for your Hajj package.
  • Don't trust anyone who promises a visa or a guaranteed place.
  • Never send cash, wire transfers or gift cards for a Hajj "deposit".
  • A Saudi tourist visa or Umrah visa does not allow you to perform Hajj.

Where Amana Travel can help

We do not sell Hajj packages. Hajj from the US is booked through Nusuk. What we offer is help with your Nusuk registration, plus group support for pilgrims from our community: walking you through the account, documents and steps, in English or Arabic, and answering your questions as they come up. We cannot promise a place or a visa, as those decisions are made by the Saudi authorities and depend on availability. More on our Hajj page.
